same, my downstairs tv is 1080p. I have a dual monitor setup now, 1 is the 2k 165hz and the other is 4k 60z. I'll hold off on upgrading til the price comes down a bit. I've only had the 2k for a few months now.

Yea. But I went from 4k to "2k" with gsync and I miss the detail in 4k. You are right though, it's a lot of money

yea, end of august. So basically 2k for the monitor and another 1k for the 1180. Tempting though, it's an awesome looking monitor.

Maybe a complete PC overhaul might be needed.

Is mobo, CPU still enough to keep up with (possible) 1180 and screen wish ?

It at least is a nice quest to make a deepdive in. Select all the puzzlepieces to make it a working at maximum combination. GL and let us hear and see what you bought !!

Note: the 1180 ain't out before end of august, right ?

I just looked at both again today, and they both look great. Only problem is I will more than likely need an 1180 to run the thing fully.

To stop you from spamming :)

Dunno why but my gut feeling and some specs tells me to go for:
ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ 27" 4K UHD 144Hz DP HDMI G-SYNC HDR Aura Sync Pre-Calibrated Gaming LED Monitor

Reasons:
Refresrate can go 144 Hz instead of 120 (yes, who would notice but the higher the better)
More features compared to the other, and they read nice :)
This one doesn't have speakers inside, if you really need those 4 Watt speakers I would sugget the Acer.

Moooooooooooooo

or

Or should I wait for lower prices? I will obviously have to upgrade to an 1180, but that is fine :)

oh yea, they were both the same price last week, so they probably will be again.
