You are way off Kosa on the triggerpull... Measured factory trigger is 4lbs (~1.8kg) and with the current parts it can be dropped to little over 3lbs (~1.4kg). To go under this you're gonna need some SVI titanium parts <3 But I will leave it like that for now. Like Kosa said the trigger is nice and crispy but little heavy.
Fiber optic may find its way to the front sight too...
Other than that I'm gonna keep the baby as classical looking as it can be

Wow...
I actually shot few rounds with it - And no, I didn't bother to ask Heggis what disease(s) was(were) bothering him.
Anyways I must admit that all in all I found it to be very nice although it's not yet fully shot in and doesn't work as well as it should yet. We also used some POS Magtech factory ammunition that doesn't work as well as good handloaded cartridge would.
Trigger was pretty much what I was expecting - not very light but very precise & clear. Accuracy was what it's suppose to be. Sights are bit tight but good to shoot in bright conditions. In low light places they get bit fuzzy. For IPSC kinda shooting they are at their best though in that case the front sight should be replaced with a fiber optic one. As an emotional point of view this would be raping the pistol. If possible I would drop the trigger from it's current weight(felt like little less than 2kg atm) to 1,1-1,2 kg and otherwise let it be just the way it is...
It's been a while since I last shot with 1911 and this brought back few good memories. Newer 2011 with a little different type of handles have never fitted to my hand as well as 1911 with slimmer frame. As painful as it feels I must admit that this time Heggis bought a real gun...

Left hand you say..
I'm quite sure the DAF(Danish AirForce?) was rofling after your attempt with your right hand so it wasn't a fair competition. Besides don't they need their multimillion toys for hitting anything?
I still haven't seen that heggis' multimillion toy so hard to give you any critical statements yet.
Well, I'm going to go shooting tomorrow - if Heggis joins me on that trip I probably will see it. There's a snowballs chance in hell anyone will actually touch it though. Shooting it in will most likely take few years(if that ever happens). Atleast I think he doesn't have those goldplatet shells & bullets he told he's gonna use. Or let's just face it as it is - it's not a gun, it's a monument...
