On monday Kosa and I went to the range to get some practice (yeah I know it's cheating) for sundays Finnish Championships in Practical Open-class. As we arrived to the range set-up our gear I thought I'd go some dryfire drills and noticed that something was rattling in my gun. Noticed that one screw was a bit loose. "Oh nothing to worry, those do come loose sometimes..." only to realize that the screw didn't tighten at all. "Oh ffs, sh*t and add many finnish curse words"

What to do, what to do. I have my last reddot but I don't want to break it... Quick call to a gunshopkeeper and he ordered a new sight for me. It should arrive in time. Yay light in the tunnel. Well I do little practice with the "spare" reddot (actually 3rd...)

Today got a phone call in the morning that the sight has arrived to the shop. After looooong morningshift at work I rush there to see my new gadget. Oh it looks beautiful... and expensive (450?)

Then testing do the mounting screws on the new mount fit the old ones? Ofcourse.... NOT  And the desperation and frustration begins again... Where the hell can I find some trustable smith to do the new mountingholes to my gunframe... Well luckily the owner new one and panic call to him and he agreed to do the job eventhough it's evening already. Took my gear and rushed to the "batcave", yes his place is called so among the shooting community :)

Few hours later of lots of BS talk and some machining my baby has a brand new sight 8)

The new mount sits quite low. Tomorrow reveals if it ejects the casings properly... There is 1mm space... It's enough.... right

Too fast, then it ruins the cow... again I mean moose meat :)

And I need to get that rifle barrel threaded... I want a silencer/compensator (JP recoil eliminator) option to it

damn gun maniacs but you are the ones to save us from the zombies! I believe heggis is a safe choice for a neighbour as long as you don't steal his mail or take a dump in his yard.

Of course I have a snell (or set-trigger as CZ calls it)! Every proper mild caliber gun has one ;)

Okay it doesn't need it, the normal trigger is quite light and there's only a little creep. But when shooting from rest, I like to use the set-trigger option.
