well I never noticed the post Seti referred too, but even so
it makes my point even more clear. Snoop got it running and
has not had any trouble .. .he only "heard" of them.
According to MS Vista only shows 3 gig of Ram but supports more.
And I got the 32 bit one as well and apart from the direct sound vs. openGL/VL
which Creative found a rather quick fix for ( Sky found it)
the only problems I had was the useraccount security .. its annoying
and then some old proggies like RvS has to run as administrator.
I havent had a blue screen once .. I had one crash, the first day I got CoD 4.
I recommend it, and I think it can even win some of you MS haters over.
grtz. Monty
P.S. And finally: I do have it and had it running for 6+ month ...
and btw I got 2003 on the other computer and I hate it.
load of compabillity problems with the small programs from the phone manufactors and such.

well there is a few things to do !
turn off the build in "index search" machine !
controlpanel->performance & Information->index properties (may be wrong translation of names.... only worked with danish version, but must be close )
when u want to game, turn off Aero and change to Basic, this will also turn off Desktop manager !
The desktop manager uses a lot of gfx resources, even when game are in front.
I bet u will see a big difference if your PC are "on the edge"
in command prompt type: net stop uxsms<return>
else add RAM , lots of RAM, and after that add more RAM
just a few cents top out of the head
and I total disagree with Monty !!
just on the paper, an OS that needs min 1GBram to run are total nuts !!
