Since Star didnt even think about virusscanning his server.
Maybe there are a lot more ppl out there who think like that. So who knows if there are a lot of infected servers without the owner knowing of it ?

Virus history in Linux is very limited..... even tho there is millions of linux boxes out there

Since a huge percentage of servers run on Linux its not that strange that virusses are 'made' for it.

yup, no idea how it came in, as i only use it for webserver.
I didn't have a antivirus on it (obviously). I was as shocked as you.
Next install will have antivirus for sure.
